DMC&H observes World Environment Day
On the occasion of World Environment Day, DMC&H inaugurated a Plastic Bottle Crushing Machine/Vending Machine donated by Aditya Birla Group through Punjab Pollution Control Board on Sunday. This machine is placed outside the cafe for visitors to dispose their plastic bottles and cans in the machine rather than throwing them in the dustbin.

Ludhiana, June 4, 2023: On the occasion of World Environment Day, DMC&H inaugurated a Plastic Bottle Crushing Machine/Vending Machine donated by Aditya Birla Group through Punjab Pollution Control Board on Sunday. This machine is placed outside the cafe for visitors to dispose their plastic bottles and cans in the machine rather than throwing them in the dustbin.
Present at the inauguration were Sh Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, R.K. Ratra SE, PPCB Zonal Office, Ldh, Paramjit Singh Gill, PPCB Zonal Office, Ldh, Rajiv Gupta EE , PPCB RO3 Ldh, Bhisham SDO, PPCB RO3, Ldh, Dr Sandeep Sharma, Medical Suptd, DMC&H, Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dean Academics, DMC&H, Dr Sarit Sharma, Associate Professor, Dept of SPM, Sh RK Gupta, Chief Engineer, DMC&H, and others.
Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society said reducing plastic waste is essential for us to fulfil the SDG-12 of UN, which calls for a substantial reduction of waste through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse. We should all give our small contribution to reduce plastic waste and opt for other alternatives for daily use.
Dr Sandeep Sharnma, Medical Suptd, DMC&H said that it is our duty as smart citizens of the city to contribute towards the efforts of making it clean & beautiful by reducing waste and opt for proper disposal of waste. Small steps in the direction can lead to bigger achievements in the future.
Dr Sarit Sharma thanked the officials from PPCB for their contribution and time given to DMC&H.
