Ludhiana, April 7, 2025: On the occasion of World Health Day 2025, the Department of Community Medicine, DMC&H organised an engaging and insightful World Health Day Quiz for MBBS students from batches 2021 to 2024.

On this occasion, Dr Anurag Chaudhary, Professor & Head, department of Community Medicine, unfolded the Theme of World Health day 2025 as “Healthy Begininngs & Hopeful Future” and emphasized that the theme will urge governments and the health community to ramp up efforts to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths, and to prioritize women’s longer-term health and well-being.

Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society and Dr. G.S. Wander, Principal, DMC&H congratulated the department for successfully organizing the event and fostering awareness on critical health issues.

Dr. Sandeep Kaushal, Dean Academics, announced the winners of the quiz and praised the spirit of participation among students.

Dr. Sarit Sharma, State Nodal Officer for the quiz, informed that the winners will be participating in the next level of quiz. The final round of the competition saw participation from four high-performing teams, with the quiz conducted by Dr. Mahesh Satija, Dr. Vikram Kumar Gupta, Dr. Priya Bansal, and Dr. Pranjl Sharma.

Karanvir Singh Jhajj and Pooja Jindal from MBBS Batch 2021, along with Manas from Batch 2024, emerged as the winners, showcasing their academic excellence and awareness on pressing global health issues.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sangeeta Girdhar, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their active and spirited participation in making the event a resounding success.
