DMC&H Surgeon Awarded $10,000 Scholarship by American College of Surgeons

Ludhiana, February 28, 2025: Dr. Ashvind Bawa, Professor of Surgery at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H), Ludhiana, has brought immense pride to the institution by being selected as an ACS NSQIP International Scholar for 2025 by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). This prestigious honor includes a $10,000 USD scholarship, recognizing Dr. Bawa’s exceptional commitment to advancing surgical quality and patient safety.

This scholarship will enable Dr. Bawa to attend the ACS Quality & Safety Conference in San Diego, California, from July 17–20, 2025, and visit top-tier hospitals in the United States. These experiences will provide him with global insights into best practices, enabling him to bring back valuable knowledge to benefit DMC&H.
