Ludhiana, April 1, 2023: Department of plastic and reconstructive surgery DMCH under the ages of North Zone, Association of plastic surgeons organized NZAPSCON on 1st and 2nd April at Dumra auditorium DMCH. The occasion was graced by Prem Kumar Gupta, Secretary DMCH managing Society, Dr GS Wander, Vice Principal DMCH, Dr Ashok Gupta, Senior Plastic surgeon, former HOD, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery DMCH.
The scientific program had stalwarts of Plastic Surgery speak about the nuances in the ever growing field, touching almost every aspect from aesthetic to reconstructive including talks on Burn wound management, facial reanimation, rhinoplasty, craniofacial surgeries, auricular reconstruction, breast reduction, fat grafting and management of vascular anomalies.
Secretary, Prem Kumar Gupta, DMCH Managing Society, lauded the efforts of the Dept of Plastic Surgery and he also welcomed all the delegates in DMCH campus and wished everyone to have a fruitful time at the conference.
Dr SP Bajaj, Senior Plastic Surgeon, former Head of Burns and Plastic Surgery Department, Safdarjung Hospital was awarded the professor RL Manchanda oration 2022 and he enlightened the audience about the history of Plastic Surgery and its evolution in India.
There was active participation of budding plastic surgeons with their paper and poster presentations making it an academic extravaganza.
Dr Rajinder Mittal, HOD, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, DMCH, convened the inaugural ceremony as the President of North zone Association of Plastic Surgery along with Dr Sheerin Shah Associate professor Department of Plastic surgery DMCH.
Dr Ramneesh Garg, Professor, Department of Plastic Surgery, delivered the vote of thanks.
