Doaba College Celebrates 77th Independence Day
Student Welfare Committee of Doaba College celebrated Independence Day. Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari graced the occasion as chief guest. He was accorded a hearty welcome by Prof. Surjit Kaur and Prof. Sonia Kalra- Conveners staff and students.

Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari invoked the feeling of nationalism by laying stress on developing qualities of dedication and discipline amongst oneself. He said we would be independent in true sense only if we aim for collective development with collective consciousness instead of self development. He said with allegiance to discipline and dedication we can easily overcome the social evils of pollution and corruption.
Students- Komal and Tejas recited sang patriotic songs and students of D.C. Collegiate Sr. Sec. School performed Bhangra on this occasion. Kalpana administered the pledge ceremony drugs. Cadets of NCC presented Nukad Natak on role of Army. Earlier in the day DCJ Bikers Club in association with Hawk Riders organized Cyclathon from Doaba Chowk to Jung-e-Azadi Kartarpur and covered 32 kms under stewardship of Prof. Sukhwinder Singh, Prof. Suresh Mago, and Rohit Sharma- Hawk Riders and 150 participants. Prof. Priya Chopra, Students- Vidhi and Amannat conducted the stage. Principal Dr Pardeep Bhandari, Prof. K.K. Yadav- Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Sandeep Chahal- Staff Secretary, Dr. Ominder Johal, Dr. Naresh Malhotra, Dr. Daljit Singh, Prof. Garima Chodha, Prof. Sonia Kalra, Prof. Surjit Kaur and staff hoisted the flag. Function ended with Doaba Gaan anthem.
