Doaba College celebrates Independence Day
Jalandhar: Student Welfare Committee of Doaba College celebrated Independence Day. Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari graced the occasion as chief guest. He was accorded a hearty welcome by Prof. Surjit Kaur and Prof. Sonia Kalra- Conveners welcome organizers, staff and students.
Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari invoked the feeling of nationalism by laying stress on developing qualities of dedication and discipline amongst oneself. He said we would be independent in true sense only if we aim for collective development with collective consciousness instead of self development. He said with allegiance to discipline and dedication we can easily overcome the social evils of pollution and corruption.
Students recited poems, sang patriotic songs and performed dance on this occasion. 41 cadets of NCC Army and Air wing participated in it. Principal Dr Pardeep Bhandari and staff hoisted the flag. Function ended with national anthem.
