Doaba College Jalandhar organized Seminar entitled “The ideology of Bhagat Singh”

Jalandhar, September 28, 2022: Doaba College Jalandhar organized a Seminar entitled "The ideology of Bhagat Singh" under the aegis of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat today. Prof. Sukhvinder Singh formally welcomed everyone at the beginning of the program. He said that the martyrdom of Bhagat Singh had created an influx of patriotism among the youth of that time.

Principal Dr. Pradeep Bhandari in his address said that at that time the purpose of martyrdom of Bhagat Singh was the freedom of the country, but his sacrifice is still inspiring us to lead a purposeful life. Taking inspiration from his life, students should keep moving forward by setting their goals.

Dr. Nirmal Singh, the keynote speaker of the program, said in his address that Bhagat Singh has inspired us to forget his life and live independently. Bhagat Singh took the slogan of Inquilab Zindabad to the hearts of the people. The spirit of patriotism is still filling everyone with this slogan. Bhagat Singh had conquered life's biggest fear of death. We also have to move forward by conquering our inner weaknesses and fears. By connecting workers, students, intellectuals with him, Bhagat Singh sounded the bugle against the atrocities of the British. It should be learnt from his life that continuous effort is necessary to achieve one's goal. Living by leaving one's principles is futile. Greatness in life is never achieved by compromise. Economic and social freedom is necessary to remove inequality. People have to come forward against the exploitation of human beings by human beings so that the government can also do its work honestly. 

MAJMC student Mithali also expressed her views on Bhagat Singh. Pradeep, a student of BAJMC, dressed up as Bhagat Singh, highlighted the relevance of his ideas in modern times. Tejas of BCom, through his song, instilled patriotic fervor in the audience.

In the end Dr. Ominder Johal presented a vote of thanks. Dr. Shivika Dutta conducted the stage. Program coordinator Dr. Johal, Prof. Sukhvinder Singh, Dr. Suresh, Dr. Arshdeep and other professors were present on this occasion.
