Doaba College Launches Cashless Economy: A Step towards Strong India Movement

Jalandhar, December 5, 2016: PG Department of Computer Science & IT of Doaba College Jalandhar launched Cashless Economy: A Step towards Strong India Movement in Doaba College today through 15 Day Cashless Payment Options awareness drive. Sh.Kamal Kishore Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar graced the occasion as Chief Guest, Smt Neerja Chander Mohan graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. The dignitaries were accorded a hearty welcome by Principal Dr. Naresh Kumar Dhiman, Prof.Daljit Singh Bhatia-IQAC, Prof.Arvind Nanda, Prof.Pardeep Bhandari-Head, staff and 150 students. Sh.Kamal Kishore Yadav said that it is a matter of pride and honour that Doaba College Jalandhar has taken a lead in the entire region by promoting cashless economy concept so effectively through its 15 day cashless payment options viz paytm, e-waalet, mobiquick,mobile banking, online bill payment, LIC premium payment, online money transfer , online shopping etc training programme and it is in sync with the central government’s Niti Ayog’s latest guidelines for its popularization. Principal Dr. Naresh Kumar Dhiman said that the staff and students of computer science and IT will impart exclusive training to the people of region from 5 December to 20 December daily from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm for cashless payment options.
