Jalandhar, February 16, 2013: A 'Dog Show’ is being organised by the Kohinoor Kennel Club, in the city on February 17 in which over 350 dogs of various breeds are participating.
This was stated by Dr S. S. Bhatti, president of the Kohinoor Kennel Club (KCC) while interacting with the media persons.
He revealed that by now over 300 entries have been received and few exotic breeds are likely join.
The club has made elaborate arrangements for the dogs, breeders and their keepers too.
He said the shows are being judged by foreign judges Mario Magsaysay from Phillipines and Shyam Mehta from India.
He said the best Dogs of India from as far away as Calcutta, Delhi, Lucknow, Kanpur and Mumbai Bangalore, Chennai, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and other neighbouring states shall be participating with their pets.
Breeds as small as toys which can be put in the pocket to as great Dance, which is the size of a Donkey shall be seen in the show ring.
Dr Bhatti said," Dogs with their ears chopped and tails docked have been barred from participating the show." he concluded.
