Ludhiana: CT University students have made their mark at two prestigious national championships, bringing home gold and silver medals and qualifying for top-tier tournaments.

In the North-East Zone Inter University Weightlifting Men Championship 2024-25, hosted by L.P.U. Jalandhar, CT University weightlifters impressed with their strength and technique. Mr. Sachin won the gold medal in the 55Kg weight category, while Mr. Kushal secured the silver medal in the +109kg weight category. Notably, 9 out of 10 weightlifters from CT University qualified for the All India Inter University Championship.

Meanwhile, at the All India Inter University Wrestling (Greco Roman) Men Championship 2024-25, hosted by Guru Kashi University, Bhatinda (Talwandi Sabo), CT University's Mr. Saurabh won the gold medal in the Wrestling FreeStyle, 63Kg weight category. This achievement has earned him a spot in the Khelo India University Games.

Both championships saw participation from 56 universities across the country, making CT University's achievements all the more remarkable. The institution's commitment to fostering excellence in sports has paid off, and its students are making waves at the national level.
