Dr. Ashima Taneja, Professor & Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, DMC&H, has achieved a remarkable world record for the “Fastest to Deliver Baby During a Caesarean Section Surgery” in 65 seconds breaking the earlier documented record of 2 minutes. This achievement has been recognized by the International Book of Records.

Ludhiana, January 10, 205: Dr. Ashima Taneja, Professor & Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, DMC&H, has achieved a remarkable world record for the “Fastest to Deliver Baby During a Caesarean Section Surgery” in 65 seconds breaking the earlier documented record of 2 minutes. This achievement has been recognized by the International Book of Records.

Fast and efficient caesarean deliveries play a critical role in saving the lives of both the mother and the baby during emergency situations such as fetal distress, placental complications, obstetrics emergencies and peri- arrest caesareans where baby has to be delivered in 1-4 minutes. This record breaking achievement highlights the exceptional teamwork, precision, and coordination of Dr. Taneja and her team, showcasing their ability to respond swiftly when every second counts.

Dr. Taneja, supported by her skilled and efficient team consisting of Assistant Professors- Dr. Muskan Chaudhary & Dr. Surbhi Handa & Dr. Rooprishma Kaur, Senior residents – Dr Rashim & Dr Heena, Junior residents & highly competent OT staff successfully delivered a baby through a skin incision during a Caesarean section surgery in an extraordinary time of 65 seconds setting a new record.
