Dr. Baldev Singh Aulakh, Chief Urologist and Transplant Surgeon at Aykai Hospital has made significant strides in the field of urology as he was invited as national operating faculty to showcase the Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for Kidney cancer to young urologists at International Live Operative workshop cum Masterclass 'Valley Urocon 2024' Kashmir. This prestigious event took place at Government Medical College, Srinagar, from October 10 to 12.

This prestigious event took place at Government Medical College, Srinagar, from October 10 to 12.
The complex surgical procedure was showcased to an audience of over 300 urologists from across India and abroad, highlighting Dr. Aulakh's expertise and the innovative techniques he employs in kidney cancer treatment. His demonstration not only emphasized the surgical advancements but also provided invaluable training for young urologists seeking to enhance their skills in laparoscopic surgery for kidney and prostate problems.
Kidney cancer is one of the common Cancer seen in people from age above 50 years. Risk factors for developing kidney cancer include Obesity, Hypertension and Tobacco use.
This cancer can be easily cured by this type of advanced Laparoscopic surgery in which patients has incision not visible by naked eye, no blood loss and pain and discharge after 1 day hospital stay.
