Dr. Falak Honoured with 'Mata Jaswant Kaur Kavitari Award 2025'
Famous poetess Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Falak was honoured with the Mata Jaswant Kaur Kavitari Award 2025 jointly by Punjabi Ghazal Manch Punjab and Punjabi Sahit Academy, Ludhiana recently.

Ludhiana, February 26, 2025: Famous poetess Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Falak was honoured with the Mata Jaswant Kaur Kavitari Award 2025 jointly by Punjabi Ghazal Manch Punjab and Punjabi Sahit Academy, Ludhiana recently.
The award ceremony took place at the Dr. Parminder Singh Hall of Punjabi Bhavan, attended by renowned writers and poets. The award carried a cash prize of ₹11,000, a commemorative citation, and a shawl.
The event was presided over by Jaswant Singh Jafar, Director of the Punjab Language Department. Congratulating Dr. Falak on the honour, Jafar praised her literary contributions, stating that "only those who face challenges with determination can achieve great heights."
Distinguished guests included Dr. Gurcharan Kaur Kochar, Dr. Gulzar Singh Pandher, and Dr. Harminder Singh. Dr. Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, presented a paper highlighting Dr. Falak's literary journey. He noted that Jaspreet Kaur Falak, originally from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has made remarkable contributions to Punjabi literature through her poetry and successfully leading of literary organizations, showcasing her exceptional literary talent. He also shared insights into her poetic style, engaging the audience with commentary on her works.
Prominent literary figures in attendance included renowned ghazal poet Sardar Panchi, Dr. Harminder Singh, Navneet Kiran, Arvinderpal Singh (General Secretary), Tarlochan Singh Jhande, Zorawar Singh Panchi, Pammi Habeeb, Parminder Albela, Tarsem Noor, Sagar Sialkoti, Amarjit Sherpuri, Inderjit Pal Bhinder, Rashmi Asthana, Manpreet, Arvinderpal Singh, and Gursharan Singh Narula. The participating poets presented their compositions during the event.
Sardar Panchi, President of Punjabi Ghazal Manch, paid a heartfelt tribute to Mata Jaswant Kaur through his verses, reflecting on her life and legacy.
Expressing her gratitude, Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Falak thanked the officials of Punjabi Ghazal Manch Punjab and Punjabi Sahit Academy for the honor, showing her resolve to continue her literary endeavors with even greater dedication in the future.
Also present on this occasion were distinguished guests Dr. Jas Kohli, Dr. Baldev Singh Naurth, Amritpal Singh Gogia, Balour Singh, and Amarjit Singh Tikka among others. They were presented mementoes in the occasion.
