Dr Falak’s Hindi version of Prof Mohan Singh’s poems launched
At the 46th Prof. Mohan Singh Mela, held today in the memory of Jagdev Singh Jassowal, the legendry art and culture enthusiast of Punjab, at Ludhiana, the bilingual book Kaise Banata Tu Shayer was launched. This remarkable work features 55 selected poems by Prof. Mohan Singh, translated into Hindi by renowned Hindi poetess Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Falak.
Ludhiana, October 22, 2024: At the 46th Prof. Mohan Singh Mela, held today in the memory of Jagdev Singh Jassowal, the legendry art and culture enthusiast of Punjab, at Ludhiana, the bilingual book Kaise Banata Tu Shayer was launched.
This remarkable work features 55 selected poems by Prof. Mohan Singh, translated into Hindi by renowned Hindi poetess Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Falak.
The book was released by the Chairman of Prof. Mohan Singh Foundation, Rajiv Lovely, Pargat Singh Grewal, President, Gurnam Singh Dhaliwal, the former Member Parliament Muhammad Saddique, Advisor Dr. Nirmal Jaura, Olympian Harwant Kaur and a Parvasi poet Harjinder Kang and others.
This initiative is a heartfelt tribute to the legacy of Prof. Mohan Singh.
Present on the occasion included the PAU Vice Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, MLA Central Ashok Punjabi folk singers Jaswant Sandeela and Randhir Chamkara, along with Dr. Parkash Singh, Karamjit Singh Grewal, Amarjit Sherpuri, Sukhbir Sandhe, Dalbir Keller, Inderjit Kaur Lotte, and Ranjit Singh Hathoor.
Pro Vice-Chancellor of Guru Kashi University, Dr. Jagtar Dhiman, conveyed his congratulations from Canada, noting that this translation will now allow Hindi readers to appreciate the timeless poetry of Prof. Mohan Singh.
