Jalandhar, November 27, 2014: PG Department of English at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organised an interactive session with Dr Karen S Kingsbury, Professor, International Studies, Chatham University, USA.
The students and the faculty members of the Dept. of English actively participated in this session. Dr. Karen acquainted the students with the education system in Chatham University, USA. The students asked questions about the syllabus, pattern of examination, admission criteria, work culture and student-teacher relationship in Chatham University.
The faculty in their interaction with Dr. Karen explored the possibilities of collaboration and exchange programme for the future. They also discussed about various courses taught at both the places.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi expressed happiness over this initiative and hoped that it would bear fruitful results.
Seema Jain, Head, Department of English, thanked Dr. Karen for her valuable guidance and suggestions. Dr. Poornima, Dr. Madhumeet, Shalini Gulati, Seema Arora, Dr. Deepika and Reena Sharma were present on the occasion.
