Rohtak, August 12, 2024. The mantra of 'Do what you love' in choosing a career option was given by Campus School and MDU alumnus Dr Kitty Mukherjee in a special lecture at University Campus School (MDU).

Assistant Dean, School of Film, Media and Creative Art, RV University (Bengaluru), Dr Kitty Mukherjee told the students that they should choose the career option in which they have deep interest, the subject which is dear to them and the career which they are interested in. But communication skills are of special importance in every career option.

Dr Kitty Mukherjee said that the foundation of choosing communication skills and teaching-learning as a career was laid in University Campus School. She said that there are new career trends in traditional media, multimedia, graphics-animation, and film making. Dr Kitty Mukherjee announced  a free film making workshop for the students of her alma mater MDU Campus School. She also inspired the students to participate in Teen-Indie Film Awards (TIFA) 2024 to be held in Bengaluru in November.

Dr Kitty Mukherjee advised the students to take interest in social concerns as well. She inspired the students by giving details of her schooling at UCS, her graduation at Government Women's College (Rohtak), her MA in Sociology at MDU and her academic journey of PhD in Journalism and Mass Communication. It is worth noting that Dr Kitty Mukherjee has been the university topper (gold medalist) in MA (Sociology). She has done PhD on the subject of gender sensitization and media. Dr Kitty Mukherjee made a special mention of her mathematics teacher K S Rathi. Dr Kitty Mukherjee also discussed career options in RV University in her lecture.

Director of UCS Prof Vineeta Shukla presided over the program. She said that the students of Campus School benefited a lot from the special career lecture of Dr Kitty Mukherjee. She thanked the guest speaker. This career talk was conducted by senior teacher Vivek Kaushal. School coordinator Reena, senior teacher KS Rathi, teacher Sonia, PRO Pankaj Nain and students of class 11th and 12th were present during the talk.
