Dr Naresh Kochhar invited by International Association of Gondwana Research to present the work
Dr Naresh Kochhar, UGC Emeritus Fellow, Department of Geology, Panjab University, Chandigarh has been invited by the International Association of Gondwana Research to present the work on Malani Magmatism in the 22nd International Conference on Gondwana to Asia, to be held in Kuching, Malaysia from 18-22, November.
Chandigarh, November 13, 2024: Dr Naresh Kochhar, UGC Emeritus Fellow, Department of Geology, Panjab University, Chandigarh has been invited by the International Association of Gondwana Research to present the work on Malani Magmatism in the 22nd International Conference on Gondwana to Asia, to be held in Kuching, Malaysia from 18-22, November.
Dr Kochhar will speak on Locating South China and Tarim in the Assembly of Greater Malani Supercontinent. He has given the concept of Malani Supercontinent comprising Rajasthan, Seychelles, Madagascar, South China, Siberia, Tarim , Kazakhstan. The supercontinent existed some 730 million years ago. The assembly is based on Malani magmatism of Rajasthan and other microcontinents with paleomagnetic data, galciation and evaporite sequences.
Dr. Kochhar has published more than 50 research papers in Malani magmatism and presented his work in more than 16 International conferences.
