Dr Rajendra Prasad Govt Medical College Tanda ranked among top medical colleges of country: Dr.Bhanu Awasthi

Dharamshala, May 28, 2019: “It is matter of pride to share that Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College Tanda situated near Dharamshala, has been ranked among the top medical colleges of the country as per a survey conducted by prestigious magazine Indian Today”, said Dr.Bhanu Awasthi, Principal of the institute .

Dr.Awasthi, added, "Overall the college has been ranked at 35th position across the country. Every year India today-MDRA survey ranks medical colleges on seven parameters including infrastructure, academic excellence and governance. Overall, All India institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has been ranked as first.”

Dr.Bhanu Awasthi has credited this achievement to the consistent efforts of the faculty at the institute backed by the strong will of the Government of Himachal Pradesh to make this institution as one of the premier institution of the country. Incidentally, Dr Rajendra Prasad Govt. Medical College, Tanda had applied for this survey for the first time this year. This, after the state Government directed the college authorities to constitute a ranking committee to oversee application for such surveys.

Prof Awasthi also congratulated the Chairman ranking committee and his team for their fruitful efforts.
