Dr Ranjeet Mehta wins the PHD Regional Golf Tournament

Over 100 Golfers participate in PHD Regional Golf Tournament

Chandigarh, April 21, 2018: PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry organised the PHD Regional Golf Tournament today at the Chandigarh Golf Club. The Tournament was organized with the initiative of promoting sports and industry networking between the states of Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana & Himachal Pradesh.

More than 100 golfers inclusive of Bureaucrats, Diplomats & Industry Members participated in the Tournament.

The Tournament was inaugurated by Prof.Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana. The Governor during his address remarked that “I wish all the players the very best for the tournament. I also appreciate the work being done by PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry towards not only promoting trade in the country but also contributing effectively through various initiatives of corporate social responsibility leading to inclusive growth of the nation.” He appreciated the work being done by the chamber to promote sports, skill & rural development amongst others. He also appealed to the industry members to contribute effectively towards corporate social responsibility.

Mr. Anil Khaitan, President, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry remarked that “PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry is committed towards the growth of the nation by contributing effectively through various initiatives.” He also thanked the Governor for presence and interaction with the industry members.

H.E. Prof. Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki, Hon’ble Governor of Haryana, did the ceremonial gunshot and started the tournament.

Dr Ranjeet Mehta 75 was the overall gross winner of the tournament. The other winners of the Tournament were:

Longest Drive: Mr V S Panag 291 yards

Straight Drive: Dr Jaspreet Batth 2 inches

Beat the PRO: Mr Rajiv Moudgill 5 feet

0 -12: Winner: Mr Rajiv Moudgill 36 points

0 -12: Runner: Mr Jayatendra Singh 33 points

13 -18: Winner: Mr Shekhar Kapur 33 points

13 -18: Runner: Mr Manvesh Singh Sidhu 32 points

Ladies: Winner: Mrs Dimple Minocha 28 points (better back 9)

Ladies: Runner: Mrs Ashu B singh 28 points
