Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar Scheme will improve the future of youth: Pathania
MLA Kewal Singh Pathania said that the state government has implemented Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Vidyarthi Loan Scheme from the financial year 2023-24 to provide loans at the rate of one percent interest to eligible Himachali students.
Dharamshala, January 24, 2024: MLA Kewal Singh Pathania said that the state government has implemented Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Vidyarthi Loan Scheme from the financial year 2023-24 to provide loans at the rate of one percent interest to eligible Himachali students.
He said that this scheme will ensure that no youth of the state is deprived of higher or professional education due to lack of financial resources.
Speaking as the chief guest at the annual function of Government Senior Secondary School Boh in Kangra district on Wednesday, MLA Kewal Singh Pathania said that the state government is committed to providing quality education to the youth of the state.
He said that a student from a family whose annual income is less than Rs 4 lakh is eligible to get a loan under this scheme. He said that the state government has decided to open a Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School in every assembly constituency in a phased manner.
He said that the state government is providing employment-oriented education to the students. Continuous efforts are being made to improve the level of education and the state government is going to take many important steps to improve education from the next academic session. He said that the state government has taken a unique initiative in providing education through digital medium under the Sampark Science TV programme.
