Jalandhar, December 26, 2024: In alignment with the NEP 2020 guidelines, DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, celebrated No Bag Day on 23rd December from grades I to V.
With Christmas just around the corner, the day's activities were infused with festive cheer and creativity.
For students of Classes I and II, the day began with interactive activities like learning about traffic signals, fostering road safety awareness. They also engaged in seed plantation, nurturing an appreciation for nature, and practical sessions on book covering and gift wrapping, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
Students from Classes III to V participated in exciting Mathabola games that made learning math fun and engaging. In flameless cooking sessions, they learned to prepare delicious treats like fruit salad, milk-made ladoos, and vegetable salad, which were relished by all. Artistic skills were also on display as students created festive and creative hats, Christmas wreath during the art and craft activity.
The day was filled with enthusiasm and joy, providing students with hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom.
Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers in making the day memorable. He motivated the students to continue learning practical and useful skills that can benefit their everyday lives.
