The three-day special event, held from February 20 to 22, witnessed active participation from students, teachers, parents, and visitors. The celebration was dedicated to linguistic diversity, the significance of the mother tongue, and the development of the Punjabi language.

Highlights of the Event:

Grades 6 & 7 – Poetry Recital
Students recited poems by renowned Punjabi poets and read out self-composed poetry collections. The poetry showcased the significance of the mother tongue, emotional narratives, and linguistic purity, inspiring a deep appreciation for Punjabi literature.

Grade 9 – Exhibition: "Contributions of Literary Figures”
A special exhibition highlighted great Punjabi literary figures, their biographies, works, and their influence on the language. Students presented informative charts, photographs, and historical details, making the exhibition an enriching and inspirational experience.

Cultural Program – The Essence of Punjabi Heritage
Students showcased traditional Punjabi folk dances like Giddha and Bhangra, along with Suhag and Sittniyan songs, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the Punjabi language and culture.
“I am Punjabi – My Identity, My Signature" – Students, teachers, parents, and visitors expressed their love for the Punjabi language by signing their names in Punjabi, strengthening their emotional bond with their mother tongue.

Special Address by the Principal
Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir emphasized the importance of the mother tongue, linguistic respect, and the need to pass the Punjabi language on to future generations. He stated,
"Every language is important, but our mother tongue is an inseparable part of our heritage. We must respect not only our own language but also other languages. One’s mother tongue is always dear to them."

This event was not just an entertaining program but a heartfelt attempt to instill true devotion and pride for the Punjabi language in future generations. Students deeply understood the significance of the day and pledged to preserve and promote their mother tongue, Punjabi, with enthusiasm and dedication.
