DRV DAV Centenary Public School Phillaur hosted the much awaited event Sports Mania

Jalandhar, February 19, 2024: DRV DAV Centenary Public School Phillaur hosted the much awaited event Sports Mania on Monday on the sprawling grounds of the school. The morning was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The Sports Mania was held for classes Nursery to II. Their parents were cordially invited to the event.

The most anticipated event of the year commenced with the arrival of the highly distinguished Chief Guest Manjit Singh DSP, Jalandhar. A warm green welcome was accorded to the chief guest. The event was declared open with the release of Tri Colour balloons. A riveting March Past by the disciplined sports stars of class II marked the commencement of the event followed by PT exercise. It was pleasure to watch our smartly clad students displaying their marching skills. The enthralling dance performance by the enthusiastic cheer leaders was the highlight of the event. Tiny tots from class Nursery to II performed in the following events with full verge and vigor.

Guest of Honour, Manjit Singh praised the efforts of the students and teachers. He stressed upon the importance of sports in our life and the key to remain healthy and disease free life. He rewarded the winners with medals.

Principal Dr Yogesh Gambhir expressed his gratitude to the chief guest for sparing his valuable time and encouraging the students. He thanked all the parents for their cooperation and support and advised children to keep up their sportsman spirit.

It was day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish.
