Dry eye checkup camp successfully organised at SMI Hospital
A dry eye checkup camp was successfully conducted on Saturday at SMI Hospital, Ghurkadi near here, where over 120 patients underwent eye examinations. Among them, around 20 patients were diagnosed with dry eye syndrome, while others presented with conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal disorders.
Dharamshala, December 24, 2024: A dry eye checkup camp was successfully conducted on Saturday at SMI Hospital, Ghurkadi near here, where over 120 patients underwent eye examinations. Among them, around 20 patients were diagnosed with dry eye syndrome, while others presented with conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal disorders.
The camp was spearheaded by the hospital’s Director and Chief Eye Surgeon, Dr. Sandeep Mahajan, along with a skilled team comprising Dr. Geetanjali Sood, Dr. Bina Shah, Dr. Kumari Mugdha, Dr. Aditi Prasher, and Senior Ophthalmic Officer Anju Mongra.
In addition to conducting thorough eye checkups, the specialists educated patients about dry eye syndrome, its symptoms, and preventive measures. Patients were advised to seek timely treatment to manage this condition effectively.
The camp proved to be a valuable initiative in spreading awareness about eye health and the importance of timely diagnosis and treatment.
