Ludhiana, May 24, 2023: Ludhiana District Basketball Championships for U-14 & U-16 Boys & Girls were inaugurated today at Guru Nanak Stadium basketball grounds by the District Sports Officer(DSO) Rupinder Singh.
Present on the occasion included General Secretary of Punjab Basketball Association Teja Singh Dhaliwal and Distt Basketball Association executive members Brij Bhushan Goyal, Vijay Chopra, Narinder Kumar, Chief Coach of LBA Rajinder Singh and Coach Saloni.
DSO advised teenage players to remain passionate about the game to excel further.
Teja Singh Dhaliwal congratulated school coaches for inculcating interest in youth towards basketball.
Brij Goyal gave all the players a pledge to never succumb to drugs in life.
A total four matches were played. Results are as under:
Boys: Multipurpose Club b Unirise World Jagraon by 26-04.
DAV Superbs team b Multi School by 10-02
DAV Thunders b Green Land Convent 24-10
Girls: Guru Nanak Club b Unirise School 40-14
