DST INSPIRE Camp concludes at KMV- One Week Motivational Journey for Students
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized the Valedictory session of the DST sponsored INSPIRE Internship camp. This five-day camp featured engaging lectures, hands-on workshops, and a vibrant atmosphere of learning.
Jalandhar, October 19, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized the Valedictory session of the DST sponsored INSPIRE Internship camp. This five-day camp featured engaging lectures, hands-on workshops, and a vibrant atmosphere of learning.
Addressing the valedictory session, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi explained the importance of such initiatives in promoting scientific literacy. She also motivated the students to set big goals for themselves & added that the DST INSPIRE camp at KMV not only provided a platform for engaging with scientific concepts but also instilled motivation and curiosity that will influence students' educational journeys.
The highlight of the fifth day was an insightful talk by Dr. Yogesh Kumar Singh from the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Pune. Dr. Yogesh Singh captivated the audience with his presentation on satellite communication, emphasizing its crucial role in modern technology and daily life. His expertise illuminated the complexities of satellite systems, inspiring many students to consider careers in this exciting field. The engaging delivery and profound knowledge he shared left a lasting impression, sparking curiosity about satellite technology among attendees.
Complementing the talk, Prof. Jaswinder Singh and Dr. Sarmistha Sahu led an experimental workshop namely Jaswin’s Lab on Wheels and Constructivism learning by focusing on fundamental physics concepts. Their innovative teaching methods made complex theories accessible, utilizing practical demonstrations to enhance understanding. Students eagerly participated in experiments, deepening their knowledge and igniting a passion for scientific inquiry. Both Dr. Singh and Dr. Sahu encouraged critical thinking and the embrace of new ideas, fostering a culture of exploration and innovation. During the camp, the P.G. Department of Physics and the Zoology Department organized the LEPTON programme and innovative write-ups, respectively. These initiatives provided students with interactive platforms to engage with fundamental science concepts through hands-on experiments and creative writing.
Principal lauded the efforts of faculty and organizing team for their successful orchestration of the camp and emphasized upon the value of practical knowledge in enhancing theoretical studies. As a token of achievement, certificates were awarded to participants and winners, celebrating their dedication during the camp. Prof. Dwivedi concluded the event by wishing students success in their future endeavors, reinforcing the belief that such experiences are vital stepping stones towards greater academic and professional pursuits.
