Dussehra celebrated with enthusiasm at Apeejay School

Jalandhar, October 8, 2024: Under the guidance of Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson of Apeejay Education and Co-Founder and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, celebrated the festival of Dussehra with great zeal and fervour.

The event began with a welcome address highlighting Vijayadashami's significance and symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. The audience was welcomed with an opening remark that set the festive tone.

The Ram Katha, beautifully recited by Aadhya from UKG, captured the essence of Lord Rama's story, followed by a thought-provoking Speech on the topic, “Dussehra: The Victory of Good over Evil.” The speaker emphasized the victory of Lord Rama over the demon Ravan, symbolizing the power of truth and righteousness.

The pre-primary students performed a Tableau of Ramayana, visually narrating key episodes from the epic Ramayana, captivating the audience with their innocence and enthusiasm.

Students then presented a meaningful Play titled "Satya Ki Pratigya” (The Pledge of Truth), promoting the values of honesty and integrity in everyday life. The play's message resonated deeply with the audience, emphasizing the importance of truth.

A Video Presentation titled "The Day of Victory" further conveyed the message of Dussehra, reminding everyone that good will always prevail over evil, underscoring the value of truth and righteousness.

The celebrations were elevated with a soulful Dance Performance by Hridhya from Class I, who performed to the bhajan "Mere Ghar Ram Aaye”, leaving the audience enchanted.

A beautifully crafted Poem Recitation titled ‘Aao Milkar Dussehra Manaye’ by Mayra Sharma of Class VIII added poetic charm to the occasion, encouraging everyone to celebrate Dussehra with unity and devotion.

The event concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired by the festival’s values of good, truth, and justice. The school’s Principal, Ms. Sangeeta Nistandra, extended her warm wishes to the students, emphasizing the importance of learning from the festival's values. 

The Dussehra celebrations at Apeejay School were a resounding success, filled with cultural performances, spiritual lessons, and messages that continue to resonate with the students and audience.
