Mohali, September 30, 2017: VR Punjab celebrated Dussehra Dhoom, a two day festival at its premises. The Festival showcased some very exciting entertainment for visitors who got to participate in many unique activities over two days, that were filled with Dussehra bonhomie.

Disco Dandiya was held, which included live music followed by a DJ Night. Professional Dandiya Singers Kiran Kaur (Fame Awaaz Punjab Di) with live musicians, took the stage at the Amphitheatre, giving visitors a memorable time full of enjoyment. Professional Garba Dance trainers all the way from Gujarat taught the dance form amidst the crowd, & this was followed by a performance put up by DJ Angel from Mumbai. The crowd danced to the foot tapping numbers of DJ Angel.

"I had a great time doing Dandiya as the music set the mood. The best part was that experts taught us steps of the elegant Garba dance of Gujarat. The event exposed us Punjabis to the very interesting dance forms of Dandiya & Garba." said Manpreet Kaur, a Visitor from Chandigarh.

On the concluding day , patrons witnessed a first time in Tricity event -- Ramleela Light and Sound show. The show was an Eco Friendly one & important Ramleela scenes were shown by using lasers. The audience was left in awe when scenes like Swayamvar, Manthra, Sita Haran, Hanuman eating fruits in Lanka, building the bridge and fight sequences were shown using lasers. The whole environment got charged up with true Dussehra spirit.

"I enjoyed the way laser lights were used to showcase the iconic scenes of India's great Epic -- Ramayana. The Ramleela me & my family witnessed was unique & it was a once in a lifetime experience for us all." Said Ramesh Sharma, another visitor from Panchkula.

It is noteworthy that VR Punjab, is the biggest Shopping centre in Tricity & Punjab, and has recently been rechristened as VR Punjab from its erstwhile name of The North Country Mall. The shopping centre has got a new management which is working hard to delight its customers with top of the line events.
