E-inauguration ceremony held by UBS, PU for new batch
Senior alumni and industry stalwarts were part of the program
Chandigarh: University Business School(UBS), Panjab University e-inaugurated its four MBA programs (the batch of 2021-2023) - Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Administration (International Business), Master of Business Administration (Human Resource) and Master of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship) today.
Senior alumni and industry stalwarts were part of the program. The chief guest for the Program Mr. Subhash Kumar, Chairman & Managing Director Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (UBS Batch 1983), graced the Inauguration Ceremony with his presence and advised the students to know their immense potential. He further added that life is like different branches of a tree and any branch can be used to reach to the top. He also mentioned the importance of being redundant and making available a replacement as soon as you leave a position so that there is no remorse afterwards.
This was followed by the address by Guest of Honor, Mr. Dinesh Moudgil, Partner, Ernst & Young (UBS Batch 1994) in which he talked about the rise of disruptive competitors under the COVID scenario and how it compelled them to become self-dependent. He advised the students that there will be many opportunities but they should be ready for the uncertainties. Be ready to learn and unlearn, don’t avoid the perils of volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world, quicker students accept this, the better it will be. In order to support the student on how to survive in this quickly transforming era he suggested to develop their own perspective as knowledge is not enough.
Prof. Dinesh Kumar Gupta advised the students to become a perfect professional and sensitized that discipline is the prerequisite to success. Prof. Meena Sharma while addressing the students stated that UBS provides opportunities and the world of possibilities for the students
Prof. Purva Kansal welcomed the students and gave inputs for students to condition themselves for next 2 yrs. Prof. Kansal advised the students to be a learning system in themselves and incorporate Peter Senges Principles to make best use of these 2 years at UBS.
Prof. SK Chadha gave a brief introduction of UBS followed by Prof V.R Sinha, Dean of University Instructions, PU highlighting the heritage and milestones achieved by the University nationally and globally.
