The Department of Statistics, Panjab University (PU) today organized a “Early Seventies Pass Outs Meet – 2024” in the Seminar Hall of the Department. A number of esteemed alumni who are passed out of early seventies graced the occasion.

Chandigarh, December 20, 2024: The Department of Statistics, Panjab University (PU) today organized a “Early Seventies Pass Outs Meet – 2024” in the Seminar Hall of the Department. A number of esteemed alumni who are passed out of early seventies graced the occasion.
Professor Narinder Kumar, Chairperson of the Department of Statistics initiated the proceedings by welcoming the alumni and other participants.
The students performed different activities like dance and played videos of old memories which were collection of photos of different events from past. During interaction with the alumni, they shared their experiences, insights and memories which not only inspired us but also reminded us of the incredible bond we share as part of this institution. The students also shared their views about the event.
All of the Faculty Members, Research Scholars and Postgraduate students of the Department of Statistics, Panjab University, Chandigarh participated in the event.
Versha Dwivedi, Research Scholar managed the stage of the meet. In the end, Harminder Singh Deosi, alumni coordinator proposed the vote of thanks.
