Earth Day celebrated with enthusiasm at Apeejay School
Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, observed Earth Day with great enthusiasm, engaging students in various eco-friendly activities to raise awareness about environmental conservation.
Jalandhar, April 22, 2024: Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, observed Earth Day with great enthusiasm, engaging students in various eco-friendly activities to raise awareness about environmental conservation.
The pre-primary students embraced the theme by dressing in green-coloured clothes, symbolizing the importance of preserving our planet. Nursery and pre-nursery students showcased their creativity by decorating Earth-themed worksheets with glitters, while LKG students expressed their artistic skills through origami, tearing and pasting to create Earth designs. UKG students coloured pictures of the Earth and adorned them with glitters, adding sparkle to their creations.
Highlighting the importance of greenery, a 'Plant a Sapling' activity was also organized, with students bringing various saplings to contribute to the school's green initiative. Classes III to V actively participated in this activity, planting saplings with enthusiasm.
Further emphasizing environmental responsibility, students from Classes I & II engaged in an environment cleanliness drive. They took the initiative to clean their homes and localities, promoting the significance of maintaining a clean environment.
Classes VI to VIII undertook a household water audit, spreading the crucial message of water conservation and advocating for a clean environment. Ms. Deepti Kaushal, the school's coordinator, motivated the students to take proactive steps in preserving the environment and instilled in them the value of environmental conservation.
