Education Studio launched at Central University of Punjab
The Department of Education at the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) has enhanced its infrastructural facilities for developing e-content of the university with the launch of the Education Studio at the university campus.
Bathinda, August 22, 2022: The Department of Education at the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) has enhanced its infrastructural facilities for developing e-content of the university with the launch of the Education Studio at the university campus.
Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, the Vice Chancellor, CUPB, along with Prof. R.K. Wusirika, Dean Incharge Academics, Dr. Shankar Lal Bika, Head & Dean, School of Education, and Deans from various Schools, inaugurated the newly constructed Education Studio on Monday.
The Education Studio of the university is equipped with cutting-edge technology, viz., a shooting floor, an editing-production control room and a presentation room. The studio has been fitted with latest hardware and software, such as 4K video cameras, chroma-key setup, multipoint lighting, audio recording setup, teleprompter, and editing system.
On this occasion, the Department of Education students recorded the first interview with the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor at the new education studio.
Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Tiwari, the Vice-Chancellor, stated that the Education Studio is the need of the hour for any higher educational institution. This facility would help teachers and students to develop e-content, audio- visual modules for teaching learning process. Additionally, the Education Studio would facilitate the Department of Education to implement flipped, blended and ubiquitous learning provide a personalized learning option to students and enhance the opportunities of experiential learning.
While sharing the details of the education studio, Dr. Shankar Lal Bika, HoD & Dean, Education stated that this facility will be utilized for recoding of MOOCs, e-content, and video lectures. The content generated through this studio will facilitate hybrid learning in accordance with NEP2020.
Other learned professor present in the inaugural ceremony were Dr. Bawa Singh, HoD, Dept. of South and Central Asian Studies; Dr.J.K. Patnaik, HoD, Dept. of Geology; Prof. Felix Bast, HoD, Dept. of Botany; and the faculty of the Dept. of Education; Dr. Shamshir S. Dhillon, Dr. Jubilee Padmanabhan, Dr. Sesadeba Pany, Dr. Biswajit Bahera, Dr. Amandeep Kaur and Dr. Kadem Srinivas. Research scholars and students enthusiastically participated in this programme and share their ideas and future paradigm aspects of Education.
