Educational Tour to Chandigarh Literature Festival ‘Literati 2023’
School of Liberal Arts organized one day tour to Chandigarh Literature Festival ‘Literati 2023’. The key objective behind organizing this tour was to preserve, promote literature of Indian subcontinent, fostering love for literature among students of various fields and providing opportunity to meet renowned authors from across the country. Students from School of Liberal Arts, School of Natural Sciences, School of Computational Sciences and GNA Business School joined the tour to Chandigarh Literature Festival ‘Literati 2023 ’.
Jalandhar, December 8, 2023: School of Liberal Arts organized one day tour to Chandigarh Literature Festival ‘Literati 2023’. The key objective behind organizing this tour was to preserve, promote literature of Indian subcontinent, fostering love for literature among students of various fields and providing opportunity to meet renowned authors from across the country. Students from School of Liberal Arts, School of Natural Sciences, School of Computational Sciences and GNA Business School joined the tour to Chandigarh Literature Festival ‘Literati 2023 ’.
The students got opportunity to listen various authors of Punjabi, Bengali and English. In the fest various regional and national authors, journalists and directors marked their presence in the Literati 2023.
The students witnessed a brief talk about the traditional methods of translation and the challenges modern day writers face while doing translation. The students on their arrival observed a brief discussion on Rabindranath Tagore and M.K. Gandhi. The students also got a chance to interact with the actor from Bollywood, Kabir Bedi at Literati 2023.
Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Chancellor expressed, “I appreciate the efforts of the School for organising such tours to promote and preserve the literary heritage of the country by connecting youngsters with literature.”
Dr. Disha Khanna, the Dean School of Liberal Arts said “The School is committed to create an environment where students from different regions and cultures can come and share their literary values and learn from others.”
