Educational trip to Pukhraj Organics

Jalandhar, October 20, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized a one day trip to Pukhraj Organics, Jalandhar for the students of B.Sc Medical Sem-V & M.Sc Botany Sem-I.
More than 25 students visited the place accompanied by four faculty members and a lab attendant. During the visit, students learned about the preparation of various herbal products like face wash, face creams, energy tonics, shampoos, wheat grass powder and various other cosmetics prepared from raw plants extracts and their subsequent packing through the machines.
The chairman of Pukhraj Organics Mr Sukhjit Cheema and CEO Mr Gurpreet Singh acquainted the students with the various packing techniques and also gave them tips to make a successful career in the industry.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such visits are must for students of any stream as these trips enrich learning experiences and they also leave a lasting impression on the minds of the students. She further maintained that educational trips give chance to the students to build closer bond with their classmates and to experience new environments. She lauded the efforts of the department of Botany for organizing this educational trip.
