Effigy of Modi burnt by CPI in support of farmers agitation

Ludhiana: The effigy of Modi was burnt by the Communist Party of India, District Ludhiana at various places in the district today. In Ludhiana, the effigy was burnt outside the Punjabi Bhawan  near Bharat Nagar Chowk. In this regard, the party leaders said farmers across the country who are agitating in Delhi over three anti-farmer laws are being deliberately ignored. This Modi government is doing anti-people work. First it introduced denomination, then GST and then the four labour  laws were changed into four codes, three anti-farmer laws were introduced, straw law was introduced and electricity bill 2020 was introduced. All these steps are to appease the corporates. Acts of Modi government are anti-people. That is why there is anger among people all over India.

Dr. Arun Mitra, Prof. Jaipal Singh, Comrade DP Maur, Comrade Jagdish Chand, Ramesh Ratan, Advocate Naval Chibbar, MS Bhatia and Kuldeep Singh Binder addressed the gathering. RMPI comrades also joined the event. Effigies of Modi government were burnt in different blocks of Ludhiana district including  Malaud by Bhagwan Singh Somalkheri, Doraha, Khanna, Machhiwara, Jagraon, Raikot and Sidhwan Bate.
