Ludhiana, April 18, 2025: Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Friday stated that the Punjab government is committed to procure every grain of the wheat from all the grain markets of the Ludhiana.
Reiterating that Punjab Government has made all out arrangements for the smooth and uninterrupted procurement of wheat, Mundian added that there is sufficient availability of gunny bags besides proper arrangements for lifting and payment are already made in all the purchase centers where farmers will get the payment within the stipulated time-frame.
The Minister also mentioned that zero tolerance has been adopted towards the persons indulged in any sort of illegal mining. Directions have been issued that the officers would be held accountable if illegal mining takes place in their respective area.
Over Yudh Nasheya Viruddh, Mundian also stated that Punjab government would not rest till drug menace is uprooted from the state completely. He warned that either drug peddlers get themselves surrendered or be prepared to face serious consequences. He expressed confidence in the Punjab police, highlighting their strength, intelligence, and ability to apprehend those involved in this illegal activity.
