ELDERLY PERSON SARABJIT SINGH TO NOW LEAD A HAPPY LIFE AT NISHKAM SEWA ASHRAM
SARABJIT SINGH GETS NEW HOME WITH EFFORTS OF DISTRICT LEGAL SERVICES AUTHORITY (DLSA) Ludhiana, May 13, 2019: With the efforts of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ludhiana, an elderly person named Sarabjit Singh have got a new home at Nishkam Sewa Ashram, village Daad. Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-DLSA Secretary Mr Ashish Abrol informed that one Sarabjit Singh (59), S/O Shivdev Singh, a resident of Dhillon Nagar, Street No 10, Reru Sahib Gurudwara Road, Lohara village, District Ludhiana, had requested the DLSA that he belongs to financially weaker section of the society, does not have any source of income, both his sons do not take proper care of him and often beat him as well. Sarabjit Singh had informed that he had met with an accident some time back, after which his left leg got fractured. He had rued that none of his family members was taking care of him, due to which he was feeling harassed. Mr Ashish Abrol informed that Sarabjit Singh had requested the DLSA to shift him to some old age home in the district. He stated that acting on the application by Sarabjit Singh, he has now been shifted to Nishkam Sewa Ashram, village Daad, Pakhowal Road, district Ludhiana. He informed that Manpinder Singh, Panel Advocate, has been specially deputed by the DLSA to complete further legal formalities. Mr Abrol has issued necessary directions to the organisers of Nishkam Sewa Ashram to take proper care of Sarabjit Singh during his stay. Mr Ashish Abrol said that with the efforts of DLSA Ludhiana, Sarabjit Singh would now lead a happy and healthy life at Nishkam Sewa Ashram.
