Eminent city radiologist in executive council of Uttarakhand Health University

Ludhiana, February 11, 2019: Dr.K.S.Soin, M.D., an alumuni of Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, King Georges Medical College, Lucknow and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi has been appointed in the Executive council of Uttarakhand Health University. This prestigious appointment has been made by the Governor of Uttarakand, Smt.Baby Maurya. The university governs many prestigious medical colleges, nursing and paramedical institutes in the state of Uttarakhand.
Dr.Soin has been in the faculty of Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, Head of department at the charitable premier cancer treatment facility at M.D.Oswal Cancer Treatment and Research Centre at Ludhiana. He has been a fellow at University of Upsaala, Sweden in the division of M.R.I and Neuroradiology where he was accorded the distinction of an International Scholar distinction. He has been part of the visiting faculty of the Swedish University subsequently. Contemporarily he is the Director of Soin Diagnostic centre, Ludhiana. The nuclear medicine faculty of the centre is part D.N.B. programmes of all major teaching establishments of the region. He has delivered presentations at many national and international conferences. The centre has been renowned for its early diagnosis of cancer and in establishing the staging of cancer, early, categorical diagnosis of kidney, thyroid and bone diseases.
The latest recognition is another feather in the cap of Dr.Soin who has earlier received Rameshwar Das Birla endowment and Rhodes Scholar Mridula Shastri Scholarship.
