A ten days Employability Skill Training Program kickstarted in Government Home Science College, Chandigarh today.
Chandigarh, September 9, 2022: A ten days Employability Skill Training Program kickstarted in Government Home Science College, Chandigarh today. The placement cell of the college in collaboration with Naandi Foundation by Mahindra Pride Classroom started this program specifically to train and equip the students with Soft skills, Life skills, Digital skills, Interview skills and Communication skills. Such skills provide students with a strong conceptual and practical framework to build, develop and manage teams in industries and help to fill industry - academia gaps.They play an important role in the development of the students’ overall personality, thereby enhancing their career prospects.
Deepika, trainer from Mahindra classroom added that employability skill training will facilitate the students in career visioning and planning, effective resume writing, linkedin profile building and dealing with placement consultants and head hunters. More than 50 students of B.Sc. Home Science and M.Sc. (Home Science) registered and attended the training session on the first day. The students will be given skill employability booklets, certificates and trophies on successful completion of this training programme.
Principal Prof. Sudha Katyal inaugurated the session by motivational speech. She encouraged the students to participate in such training sessions. She added that such employability oriented training develops all-round personalities with a mature outlook and helps students to function effectively in different circumstances.
