Empowering women through celebration
CT University's International Women's Day Event
Ludhiana, March 6, 2024: CT University marked International Women's Day with an inspiring event organized by the Department of Student Welfare. The celebration featured a Panel Discussion and Women Achievers Awards, to recognizing and empowering women in diverse fields. The panel discussion, themed "Celebrating Achievements and Navigating Challenges," brought together accomplished leaders, including Smyra Gupta, a renowned Fashion Designer, Mehak Jain, a Journalist, Dr. Mridul Anand, a highly skilled Consultant in Clinical and Radiation Oncology (MBBS, MD), and Dr. Simranjeet Kaur Gill, the Dean Academics at CT University.
The event also honored outstanding women achievers who have made significant contributions to their respective fields. Awardees included Sanskriti Sethi: World-renowned Akashic Record reader, Numerologist, and Automatic Writing Coach; Ravi Devgan: Social worker and Artist ; Sharanjeet Kaur: Vice Principal, CBSE Board; Kanchan Gupta: Green Lady of Jagraon ; Dr. Gagandeep Kaur: Orodental & Cosmetic Surgeon, Gagan Dental & Cosmetic Clinic, Ludhiana ; Pragati Chadda: Founder, Director - Hakunamata Musicals ; Shally Aggarwal: Director and Co-founder - Pinnacle Institute of Fashion Technology ; Priyanka Bansal: Fashion Designer with her label, Privani; Guneeta Bindra: MD of KN Production house and Founder of Kala Nikhar Academy; Sandhaya Kumari: National Games 3rd prize in Kho Kho; Khushveer Kaur: National Games 3rd prize in Kho Kho; Kuldeep Kaur: Sarpanch, Pind Sohia ; Gurpreet Kaur: Sarpanch, Pind Mandiani.
On this occasion CT University’s Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, and Director of the Department of Student Welfare, Davinder Singh. In their addresses, the dignitaries commended the achievements of the awardees and emphasized the university's commitment to gender equality and recognizing the invaluable contributions of women.
