Enactus Team of PU showcased products made by underprivileged communities during “Diwali Fest 2023” organised at MCM DAV College
Enactus team of Panjab University team put up a stall promoting products made under Enactus projectsby underprivileged ladies, cerebral palsy affected people and potters during Diwali Fest organised on the theme “Promoting Women Entrepreneurship & Environmental Citizenship” by NSS units with Character Building Committee, MCM DAV College for Women Sector-36, Chandigarh. Amidst the bustling atmosphere, the team set up a vibrant stall displaying the fruits of labour from Project Uday and Dhra, a testament to the impactful work carried out by dedicated community members, conveyed Prof. Seema Kapoor, Faculty Advisor, Enactus team.
Chandigarh, November 8, 2023: Enactus team of Panjab University team put up a stall promoting products made under Enactus projectsby underprivileged ladies, cerebral palsy affected people and potters during Diwali Fest organised on the theme “Promoting Women Entrepreneurship & Environmental Citizenship” by NSS units with Character Building Committee, MCM DAV College for Women Sector-36, Chandigarh. Amidst the bustling atmosphere, the team set up a vibrant stall displaying the fruits of labour from Project Uday and Dhra, a testament to the impactful work carried out by dedicated community members, conveyed Prof. Seema Kapoor, Faculty Advisor, Enactus team.
The products showcased ranged from handmade crafts to eco-friendly solutions telling compelling stories of social change, empowerment and environmental sustainability. Visitors to the stall marvelled at the dedication of young enthusiastic volunteers of Enactus, who have passionately spearheaded Project Uday and Dhra, told Kiran, Vice-President of Enactus team. From diyas & pottery products to a wide range of cloth-based sustainable products including cloth based sanitary napkins, the stall encapsulated the essence of Enactus mission to create a positive impact on the society and the environment, said Aarzoo Dhiman, Vice President of Enactus team.
It was a celebration of collaboration, innovation and social responsibility and a message to the youth to switch to eco-friendly products, which are unique at the same time, said Muskan Sihag, an Enactus member.
The stall received praise from various quarters, including Prof. Nisha Bhargava, Principal, MCM DAV College, faculty members and students, who commended Team Enactus for its commendable efforts in driving positive change in society.
Enactus team felt grateful to Prof. Bhargava for giving this wonderful platform of Diwali fest to showcase its projects amidst a huge number of visitors. It helped the team to promote the eco-friendly solutions developed under project Uday and Project Dhra, said Hakmeen Banoo, Social Media Head of team.
