The event was a blend of tradition and modernity, marked by engaging performances and exciting competitions.
The programme commenced with a devotional dance, paying tribute to teachers and their pivotal role in shaping lives. In a traditional gesture of respect, students garlanded their teachers, setting a heartfelt tone for the event. The highlight of the day was an English play titled 'The English Classroom Chronicles', in which a group of eccentric English teachers navigated their students through the complexities, joys, and occasional challenges of mastering the English language. The play was followed by a lively dance performance symbolizing the unique bond between teachers and students, prompting the audience to join in the celebration with rhythmic applause. Several competitions were organized to inspire creativity among the students. The Cartoon Wisdom competition invited participants to draw their favorite cartoon character and express in a single line a valuable lesson learned from it. Inspiring Legends, a role-play competition, saw students impersonate real-life inspirational figures, bringing history and leadership to life. In the Calligraphy Competition, students artistically penned quotes on learning, education, and teachers, showcasing both skill and thoughtfulness. On the occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh highlighted the importance of the teacher-student relationship, noting that while teachers serve as mentors and motivators, it is the commitment and dedication of the students that ultimately lead to success.
Vice Principal, Prof. Jasreen Kaur, commended the teachers of the Department of English, acknowledging their dedication to both teaching and their numerous responsibilities in ensuring the smooth functioning of the college.
Dr. Geetanjali Mahajan, President of the English Literary Society, remarked that the quirks and peculiarities of an 'Eccentric English Teacher' are often expressions of deep passion and dedication. She encouraged the participants to embrace the learning process, reminding them that growth often comes from making mistakes and persevering through challenges.
Various competitions of the day were adjudged by Dr. Geetanjali Kaushal, Prof. Anu Kumari, Dr. Pooja Rana, and Prof. Sonia Singh. The event concluded on a high note, leaving both teachers and students inspired and entertained, further strengthening the bonds of the college’s academic community.
