CTIEMT bagged the overall trophy of CT Athletic meet while CT polytechnic college won the first runners up trophy
Jalandhar: A sense of excitement and joy permeated the environment of the CT Group of Institutions during 10th Sardarni Manjit Kaur Memorial Annual Intra CT Athletic Meet on its Shahpur Campus premises on Saturday.
The sports meet started with the assembly of athletes, lighting of torch, with the hoisting of CT Group flag, the Oath taking ceremony, releasing of colourful balloons and a continuity of athletic events heralded the opening of this extravaganza by the Chief Guest S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) and Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) along with other members of the management, faculty and staff.
The play ground was bubbling with activity and thrill as students enter the playfield with fortitude to win. The opening ceremony begins with wonderful march past after this the sports events was started. The students were categorized into two groups - men and women. There were numerous track and field events like 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, Long Jump, Shot Put, Javelin throw, Discuss throw, Relay race 4X100m. The sports persons inflamed with a spirit of sportsmanship and they tried their best to excel in their events. CTIEMT bagged the overall trophy of 10th Sardarni Manjit Kaur Intra CT Athletic meet while CT polytechnic college won the first runners up trophy.

The athletic meet came to close with the distribution of the prizes to the winner, flag lowering ceremony, National Anthem. The Chief Guest dispensed the medals to the winners and honoured the sports department. In his speech he congratulated the winners and thanked the teacher for their great effort in successful culmination of the athletic meet.
Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) said that sports should not be seen as an extension to holistic education, but as inherent part of it. They said that there are larger benefits in term of development of spirit of sportsmanship and sense of competition amongst the situation. The student can choose as a part of their profession.
