CT University, Ludhiana, School of Management Studies organised an “Entrepreneurship Awareness Program” in collaboration with Govt. of India, Ministry of MSME DFO, Ludhiana. Officials from MSME and renowned entrepreneurs graced the occasion and shared knowledgeable insights for students. The event coordinator Sharu Kaushal from School of Management Studies and Ati Priye ,Director Planning & Development, welcomed the guests and speakers Kundan Lal, Assistant director MSME DFO, Ludhiana, Mandeep Kaur Tangra, CEO of Simba Quartz from village Tangra Amritsar, Jatinder Singh MD Endico Power Tools Ludhiana, Rakesh Pathak, functional manager – department of industries and commerce – Punjab Government. Navdeep Singh - Dept. CEO – District Employment Bureau & Enterprise, Anupama Rani – Asst. Director –MSME DFO Ludhiana.
Interacting with the students, Kundan Lal deliberated that the students shall be highly benefited from such interactive sessions as this is a direct platform to get answers for all their questions based on Entrepreneurship. Kundan Lal and Mr. Rakesh Pathak also gave clarity on various government funded schemes available under Ministry of MSME for the budding entrepreneurs. Also adding that the students can have a business of any scale - however small or big – can make use of strategies to grow and succeed in the market. MSMEs continuously keep trying out different approaches for different opportunities available for the students.
Mandeep Kaur Tangra deliberated about the characteristics and qualities of a successful entrepreneur and motivated students to follow the same. Jatinder Singh shared his journey of becoming a successful entrepreneur and also talked about the importance of health and physical well-being in one’s life and motivated all to invest their time in early morning exercise, yoga, walk or meditation.
Dr. Satish Kumar Officiating Vice Chancellor, CTU expressed thanks to the experts and encouraged the students to bring up innovative business start-up ideas and assured for best of CT University support in their start up ventures. Dr. Nikhil Monga Assistant Dean, Professor and Head of School of Management, congratulated the team and motivated the students to nurture their ideas and come forward with innovation.
