Nawanshahr, December 20, 2021: The district administration in association with Field Outreach Bureau, Shimla under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will organize a series of events to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on December 22 in Government Senior Secondary School, Rahon.
Events including poster making, slogan and essay writing competitions would be organized to disseminate about life and philosophy of the freedom fighters, freedom struggle.
These events give a unique opportunity to young students to express their ideas and opinions about independence movement.
He said that a Covid vaccination camp would also be held in the venue so that eligible beneficiaries can get shield against the Coronavirus.
Besides, a cleanliness dirve would also carried out in the town.
Later, the students would be awarded prizes and certificates would also be distributed among them.
A spokesman said that India is celebrating the 75th anniversary of Independence and these events have been planned under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by the Government of India to give an opportunity to the young and others to get information about the glorious history of India’s people, culture and achievement.
