EWS sites be immediately transferred to the government name: CA GLADA
GLADA Chief Administrator Sagar Setia today directed the promoters of government approved colonies to immideatly transfer reserve sites for economically weaker sections (EWS) to government of Punjab as per the guidelines as stern action would be initiated against those failing to comply with the norms.
Ludhiana, September 29, 2023: GLADA Chief Administrator Sagar Setia today directed the promoters of government approved colonies to immideatly transfer reserve sites for economically weaker sections (EWS) to government of Punjab as per the guidelines as stern action would be initiated against those failing to comply with the norms.
Giving more details, the CA said that as per guidelines against the licenses given to the colonies by GLADA, the promoters are duty bound to reserve sites for EWS which has to be transferred to the name of Govt/Galada or in case of flats they have to deposite EWS Funds with the government.
In this regard, the GLADA has time to time issued directions to the promoters of the licensed colonies to ensure transfer of these EWS sites to the name of Govt./GLADA, he said adding that earlier several notices were issued for depositing funds.
The CA further said that it was the last opportunity for the promoters to transfer these sites or submit funds by October 4, 2023, failing which stern action would be initiated under section 5(14) of the PAPRA Act to suspend the licenses issued to promoters.
