Rewari, May 13, 2024: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has questioned the BJP and its leaders on why the BJP government rejected the demand for formation of the Ahir Regiment. He said the BJP had lost the right to seek the votes of the people of Ahirwal because it has broken the hopes of the youth by implementing schemes like Agniveer and rejecting the demand for Ahir Regiment.

Hooda, while campaigning with Congress candidate and actor Raj Babbar, questioned why the BJP leaders did not fulfil this most important demand of Ahirwal, and asked why did BJP leaders not support the youth in the movement against Agniveer.

Hooda was accompanied by National President of Backward Class Congress Captain Ajay Singh Yadav, Congress State President Udaibhan, MLA Chiranjeev Rao and many senior leaders of the Congress.

Addressing the election meetings, Hooda said that BJP leaders have maintained unfortunate silence on every important occasion, the entire Ahirwal is suffering the consequences of this. But this time Raj Babbar will become a strong voice of Gurugram Lok Sabha and Congress will fulfil all the demands of the youth of Ahirwal.

Captain Ajay Yadav said there is a direct contest between the Congress, which is fighting to save the Constitution, and the BJP, which intends to destroy the Constitution, this time. “People will vote for the Congress which protects the Constitution and democracy and will make Raj Babbar win with a huge majority,” he stated.

Haryana Congress president Udaibhan said the difference between BJP and Congress can be clearly understood from their election campaign. “On one hand Congress is talking about the issues of employment, education, health, inflation, and providing relief from crime. On the other hand, BJP is engaged in misleading the public with religious and misleading issues, far away from the basic issues,” he said.

Congress Candidate Raj Babbar, excited to see the crowd and support of people, claimed a big victory for Congress. He said the BJP has ignored the Gurugram Lok Sabha area on every front. “This government is neither able to provide a safe environment to the people of this Lok Sabha, nor employment to the youth, or clean water or air to the citizens, nor any confidence in the future. Therefore, the public has now made up its mind for change,” he said.
