EXECUTIVE members of LUB Ludhiana hold meeting, discuss E-TRIP

Ludhiana, July 24, 2013: Executive members of Laghu Udyog Bharti (LUB), Ludhiana had meeting today, in which various issues were discussed  regarding the industry specially E-TRIP.
It was observed that industry was not well equipped to fully use E-TRIP which the government has imposed on six items, many small and  micro industries do not have even computers and do not know how to operate so they are in doldrums how to use this process.  The government  has issued  the notification to curb bogus billing which is supported by Laghu Udyog Bharti members but this process should first be properly guided to the industry. The danger of hacking of passwords of the industry is very high which can be used by those who indulge in raising bogus bills.  
In another issue four stage verification is highly condemn as law does not permit  to do such verification, by this VAT refund of the members is struck with department which proves fatal for business as the capital falls short, the meeting felt. Delegation of the industrial associations met the Deputy Excise & Taxation Commissioner Ludhiana Rishipal Singh, today to resolve the issues regarding E-Tripping  and VAT.
Rajeev Jain , President of LUB, Ludhiana brought in notice of the DETC that transaction made in respect of E-TRIP cannot be called as foolproof as every can know about the transaction of any one . There is no benefit of e-trip for the dealers as there is no privacy of e-tripping billing so it should be withdrawn.   
It was requested fourth stage verification should not be demanded by Excise and Taxation Department which is against the VAT Act and is illegal.
