Expenditure observer conducts inspection at helipad; directs officials to conduct proper checking of luggage

Ludhiana, May 27, 2024: Expenditure observer for Ludhiana Parliamentary Constituency Chetan D Kalamkar conducted inspection at the helipad situated in Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) on Monday.

Accompanied by Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) Ludhiana West, Rupinder Pal Singh among other officials of administration, Expenditure Observer Chetan D Kalamkar directed the officials to properly check the luggage all the persons during departure or arrival at the helipad as per ECI guidelines, to ensure free, fair and transparent general elections in the district.

Kalamkar further asked the officials to keep a record of the activities at the helipad and the expenditure should be booked as per the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Expenditure Observer Kalamkar asked the officials to remain more vigilant as these days are very crucial and intensified checking should be done across the district to stop the illegal flow of liquor, cash, contrabands, consumer goods etc, which can be used to influence or induce the voters.
