Chandigarh: Mr. Ashish Verma, Senior SAP Consultant, Cognizant, Bangalore, Karnataka delivered a talk on “SAP ERP and Emerging Industry Trends” at Information Technology, University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Panjab University, Chandigarh, here today.
The talk began with an introduction to SAP ERP and where it stands in market today. He discussed other ERP players in the market. The main focus of the talk was on SAP’s proprietary database: HANA.
The expert emphasized on SAP Leonardo that enables users to leverage future-facing technologies like the Internet of Things, machine learning, blockchain, analytics, and Big Data. SAP technical advancements were also covered. He also talked about the career opportunities in SAP for professionals. The lecture was organized by Dr. Neelam Goel, Assistant Professor under the guidance of Dr. Savita Gupta, Director, UIET.
The talk was attended by 161 participants including faculty members, technical staff, research scholars, masters students and undergraduate students.
